from 455 reviewsThis thing was a pleasure to build. The included plans and videos were some of the most well-thought-out and thoroughly explained plans I have ever seen. It truly is something anybody can do with some time and a little patience. It was most certainly not a difficult build but parts of it can be pretty intricate. Make sure you have the right tools to make the job easier. The most challenging part of the build is dealing with the terrible dimensional lumber you get from the big box retailers. It makes squaring up the framing challenging. But that is certainly nothing to do with the plans and more about the quality of lumber at the big box retailers. Last night was the first time I fired it up and everything worked great. I emailed the owner one evening and had to reply back within a couple of hours. He is truly very helpful and responsive to any questions. I would have to go back and truly add up the receipts, but the XL version was right around $1500 total build.

Awesone product. Exactly as described and performs flawlessly. Thank you.

I’m not 💯 complete as you can see, but this was so easy to follow. Material lists were great and having video links were crucial. Looking to have tank rolling after this weekend!!! Thanks Joe

These plans were great. very easy to follow. Joe was also very helpful, he responded back quickly and answered my questions. The videos made it super easy to follow along.

Built my DIY cold plunge and got most of the supplies from Joe. Great quality, super support. Will definitely buy from again when the need arises

Awesome simple and beautiful.

I bought this from Joe to complete my cold plunge. Followed his instructions and included a simple Xmas timer that kicks on for an hour a day.

In the spring of 2022, I took a cold plunge in a lake. It was so invigorating that I told my wife we were going to have to buy a house on a lake. Well that didn't work so I found Joe at DIY cold plunge and used his first version plans to build the attached. At first I just used ice but eventually jumped in a bought first the Ozone unit from Joe and then eventually found a cooler on sale on Amazon. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the entire build process but some initial and final pictures are below. Congrats to Joe for a great site and what looks to be a great career at this point!!!

I like tinkering but even if you don’t this plan is for you. 2 years ago now, my buddy and I both wanted cold plunges but there was no way we were going to pay $10k each for them. At this time that was all that was on the market so it meant we had to make our own. For me that sounded like a fun project but for my friend who isn’t that handy was weary. We grabbed Joe’s plan, order the parts listed and went to work in our garages. It was easy to follow, made sense and literally anyone could use it and be successful.
That was two years ago and we’ve never had issues since. It’s great to see how many others have gotten on Joe’s DIY Cold Plunge train.
The part I love most is because I built it, if anything ever needing fixing I know exactly how to do it. No dealing with companies and warranty etc.. It also really shows you the mark up they are charging folks.
Hooray for Joe! You’re doing the lords work my friend.

I used Joe’s Full Start-to-Finish Plan for a 150 gallon Stock Tank Cold Plunge. I had used the stand alone stock tank for about 3 months with just an insulated cover. Being in Alaska cold water is not a problem. I filled the tank with 44f well water and over the 3 months (March - May) the water only gained ten degrees. In late May after gathering the supplies I drained it and started in on the project. It took me a little over a week of working evenings and a weekend. I plan to run my plunge year round and do not plan to need a chiller. First and foremost - Joe is meticulous with his plans. The measurements, the images, the videos and the shopping lists - all of it First Rate!!!! I made some adaptions based on availability of supplies and my over all plan but I could not find a more complete plan. A few adaptions that I made. I used 1 1/2” rigid foam vs 1” because that is what was available. It fit no problem. I used cedar fence boards on the sides and cedar deck boards for the oval. I was able to tuck all the plumbing inside and insulate the mechanical surround. For winter I plan to install a thermostat and heat tape to keep the plumbing from freezing. Here is to Hot Tub'n and Cold Plung'n!!!! I highly recommend Joe’s Full Start-to-Finish plan!

This plan paid for itself over and over again. It saved me hours of research time, time I would have otherwise lost from trial and error, multiple trips to the hardware store and dealing with returns. With this plan, I had all the right parts and layout completely set up ahead of time. As soon as my chiller arrived, I spent a few hours connecting it all together and we were chilling! Joe’s done all the trial error, learning from mistakes and figuring out how best to lay everything out so you don’t have to! Not buying this plan is like driving an hour out of your way to save $0.02 a gallon on gas.

This is a must have when building your Cold Plunge. Joe really helps you avoid major snags in the process.
