Please note - this plan is for either the 100 gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tank or the 150 gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tank (I got mine at Tractor Supply).

This is the step-by-step plan to build a frame for your tank that includes a mechanical area designed for a Penguin 1/2 HP HE Chiller, Pump, Ozone & Filtration System. Make sure to check measurements of your equipment before starting your build.

**I do have a full step-by-step tutorial on YouTube for this framing project**

My YouTube Channel will be a great resource in addition to this PDF. Make sure to follow me there, on TikTok & Instagram - @DIYCOLDPLUNGE

I would also recommend joining my private group on Facebook, we have thousands of people learning and experimenting with different set-ups.

Rough Footprint:

  • 100 Gallon - 78" x 36"
  • 150 Gallon - 85" x 41"

Outstanding Plans and Products

I ordered the 150 gallon Rubber Maid plans in early 2023. They were very easy to follow and very well thought out. His videos are also a huge help to guide you. The plunge is solid as heck and has lasted through the Texas heat, wind, and nasty weather while still looking great. I also used the Ozone Generator bundle which has worked like a charm keeping the water clean. Recently, I added the insulated stock tank cover. It has worked far better than my original home built lid keeping the water nice and chilly with no leaking around the edges. The tie downs keep everything secure and in place. I highly recommend all of Joe's products. He's does his research well and is happy to help if you run into any questions about your build, or his products.

Amazing Plans & Better Community

I built Joe’s first gen DIY stock tank and I’ll just say the plans and videos are simply amazing. For someone that’s not very DIY most of the time the plans and additional videos he provides are super straight forward to follow. Not only are the plans easy to follow but the guidance he’s built on his own private FB community make the decision to build Joe’s cold plunge a no brainer. I gotta find room for his Sauna build next! Thanks again Joe!

Another plunge..

Great plans. Great support. Joe actually responded to all of my emails. I couldn't be happier with the plans and decision to build my own. I'm 9 months in and use it all the time.
