I have been plunging for a while with an inflatable tub and a subpar chiller. A friend of mine introduced me to the DIY coldplunge a few months ago. We built his first, then we build mine with minor changes. I used 1x8 cedar instead of the T-111. Both look great and both perform perfectly. The plans make it extremely easy for people of all levels. These cold plunges are the best out there (imo) and save you loads of money.

Plans and videos are well thought out and easy to follow.

I compared to the chain home project stores and seems much more durable and flexible. Cost is at a great price also.

I was just finally able to finish installing the Venturi set up and tomorrow will be the first plunge with it. As always Joe is awesome!

For the cost this is a easy addition to finish insulating the filter housing.

This hose worked perfectly for my DIY cold plunge! At first I was concerned because the hose didn’t dry-fit into the pvc fittings I have. But once I primed and put pvc cement on them they slid right in.

I don't have carpentry, plumbing or any related background and found the plans and the overall process to be a fun and productive learning journey. Plans couldn't have been any better.

Absolutely loved these plans! Very simple and easy to follow from start to finish - or you can modify like mine and customize to your liking. Great for beginner DIY-ers.

I live in Houston, TX where heat and humidity are a real thing a large part of the year and I keep my plunge in my garage. I built my plunge using Joe's plans and a lot of one on one questions with personal responses and guidance from Joe, who is amazingly responsive to his customers. I just purchased this sleeve to solve another piece of my condensation prevention quest and it works amazing. I have a few more pipes to cover but I no longer have a large puddle of water dripping and pooling below my filter. Great product, price and great solution!

Took us a week to build. Probably sooner if we weren’t so busy at work. The plans were very simple to follow, you just need the right tools. The plans paired with his youtube content will get it done.

Hi, I bought the bundle of plans, the one thing we are trying to figure out on the outlet with the ball valve, where that goes, is there a picture of the plumbing that could share?

Arrived when promised (was backordered) and arrived in great shape. The quality looks good. I was even pleasantly surprised to have the hold down clips and screws to mount it. Looks to be of good quality and we will see how it holds up.

I’d been following the cold plunge community for a while but was always on the fence because of the high cost. Then I came across Joe’s DIY Cold Plunge plans on YouTube. Normally, I use YouTube for fixing things around the house, and I'm definitely not what you'd call a DIYer, but Joe’s channel gave me the confidence to give it a try. The plans he offers were the icing on the cake!

I’m no carpenter or plumber, so I had to buy almost all the tools (which, thankfully, aren’t that many). The plans were super easy to follow, and the color-coded diagrams made it a breeze to figure out the different parts. I got my materials from the DIY Cold Plunge site, as well as from big box stores and Amazon. Now, whenever anyone asks me if they could build one too, I always tell them, “You can totally do this!” So if you're on the fence about whether you should do it or if it’s worth it, my answer is a big YES—absolutely, you can do this!

The level of thought Joe put into this project is incredible. He’s covered every detail and is always coming up with new ways to improve it. I finished my plunge in June 2024, and I've been using it all summer—even with daily 100-degree temperatures, the water has consistently stayed at 40 degrees, right where I set it. With the thermal barrier broken, it really feels like I’m plunging in the middle of winter, chopping through ice blocks, thanks to the thought around insulation even on the lid.

There’s also a fantastic Facebook community where everyone’s super helpful. I’ve even shared my journey and a spreadsheet of all the parts I used for my build.

Honestly, I can’t recommend the DIY Cold Plunge plans enough. So once again—You Can Do This! Happy Plunging!

This plan was a breeze to follow! I added my own twist by not cutting the top, keeping the light switch closer for convenience and adding a table-like feature. Finding and purchasing the necessary products was super easy thanks to the direct links provided in the plan. I can tell Joe spent a lot of time putting this together. Out of all my DIY projects, I’m most proud of this one. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. Worth every penny.

Great addition to my Rubbermaid stock tank cold plunge! It fits perfectly and locks securely with the provided clips. I consider myself about 5/10 when it comes to being handy, this plan made building a cold plunge incredibly simple. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to build their own!
