This came out even better than expected. It’s a solid build with simple to follow instructions. Only update would be that the app needed for the heater has changed to “BN-Hub”.
I couldn’t be happier with this DIY sauna purchase. The plans were clear, well-organized, and very easy to follow. The video tutorials were especially helpful and walked through the key steps in a way that made the whole process feel simple and manageable.
The heater kit was high quality and worked perfectly with the build. Everything functioned exactly as described.
Overall, a smooth project with an amazing end result. I’d absolutely recommend this to anyone considering building their own sauna!
Detailed plans. I wish that the directions for building your own light were included and that there was a video for the XL version.
The project took me about 2 weekends to complete between rounding up supplies and assembly. The temps will make it above 200deg if given time 1.5hrs. I’m 5’7” and after a couple of weeks of use believe the larger build would have given me more room to move about once inside. Over satisfied mostly. Maybe move the heat source a tad lower. Could help with warmer temperatures lowering the box on the legs and torso?
Thanks for the detailed plans and prompt answers to any issues I had!!
Hi! This review is for all the people out there who are not savvy with tools and have never undertaken a project like this. I have little to no experience with tools or working on such projects (it was always something my dad and brothers did.) However, I am here to tell you, that my sister and I successfully made the sauna after following Joe’s plans and watching his videos. As long as you can measure and you have someone whose tools you can borrow (thanks, Dad!) you can do it! It took me about 3 months to complete - I would work on it here and there weather permitting. I am very proud of myself for having completed something like this! So if you’re hesitant because you don’t have the experience - don’t be, you can do it! I also took the opportunity to teach my nephew how to use a Brad nailer - with all the proper safety avenues used of course!
