Bought the sauna, heater kit, and backrest plans. Super happy with my purchase. Joe was incredibly helpful and communicated well when I had questions. The videos explained thing very well and I was able to slowly complete my build over multiple weekends when I had a few spare hours. Total hours it took me to build was probably like 50 hours if I added it all up. But I am not the most handy with this sort of stuff.
Only minor negative aspect was that the heater kit had a safety issue of sorts that cause the product to be recalled. And rather than being DIY and working with the customers to find a solution, Joe seemed to be forced to kind of pull back from his normal engaged content and just offer refunds. Likely this was legally his only option, but a little disappointing.
I was able to troubleshoot, replace parts, and address the issue with the help from other customers on Instagram. And things work great now! I would do it all again if given the choice. The plans and products Joe offered were top notch and I am very happy with how things turned out! Now I’m considering building a cold plunge…haha
This was a quick fun side project after the sauna build. I used an extra 5/4 board and 2 cedar fence posts. It makes the sauna more comfortable.
Sauna back risk plan was super easy to follow, turned out better than what I expected. Extremely happy with final result.
The back rest is a great addition to the sauna. Thanks Joe

OnceI figured out the venturi tube operated best when it was at or above the water level, this generator worked fantastic. Cleared up slightly 100gal of cloudy water within 6-7 days of using 1-2 hrs/day and has kept it clean for following 2weeks and still going. The tubing doesn't seem like it will last long term but not going to gripe too much about that.
Totally worth it! It was cheaper than the replacement pump Plunge wanted to sell me, and with the installation video, the process was pretty straightforward. I knew absolutely nothing about cold plunges and panicked when my pump died, but this kit made the replacement much easier than I expected.
The Danner 1200 feels like a quality piece of equipment. After doing some research, I found out Danner has been around for nearly 90 years, which gave me a lot more confidence in the product. The pump is solid, well-built, and noticeably heavier than the alternatives I looked at.
If your Gen 1 Plunge pump dies, I’d definitely recommend this kit. It includes just about everything you need and takes a lot of the guesswork out of the repair. So far, I’m very happy with it.
Absolutely amazing plans easy step by step instructions…materisl sheet as well as a cut sheet made it super easy…
Didn’t realize that this was a build your own project no supplies are provided. Only instructions. Can’t even get my money back. Should just put that in bowl before purchasing. Enjoy my $20. Enjoy your lunch.
