This was a lot of fun and Joe was super helpful. I hit a few bumps along the way and Joe was patient and knowledgeable, even before I bought the plans and was asking about chiller advice.
The plans are super detailed and the linked shopping list is a game changer. Some of the steps (like cutting the rigid insulation) took longer than the plans said, but this was my biggest project yet so I think that's more of a "me" issue.
My cold plunge turned out really well and I have been so proud showing it off to people. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, regardless of skill level. You'll learn a lot and be left with something to be proud of.

Joe has clearly designed his plans for use by folks of various skill levels. If YOU plan up time and THEN take your time following Joe's instructions, you'll end up like me with a phenomenal product...and bragging rights.
Be advised with ANY project, there are going to be setbacks, complications and mistakes. I just took a pause, emailed Joe and moved forward accordingly.
It's very clear Joe has put substantial thought and engineering into his plans.
The plans (especially shopping list) are INCREDIBLY thorough.
Most people could probably figure out their plumbing setup eventually, but if you're like me—short on time and not keen on multiple store trips—this plan is a game-changer. I used the provided shopping list for online pickups and was able to complete my setup in just two 1.5-hour evening sessions.
TIP:
Take your time assembling—getting PVC cement on your unions will cause problems.
Installing the flex spa hose on the venturi is trickier than it looks. Use hot enough water, or you’ll struggle.

I was hesitant to purchase plans but so glad I did. It gave me complete shopping list, diagrams with cutoff sheets. It saves you tons of time and the videos are my favorite part so I can visualize the final product. Well worth it.
