Transform a stock tank into the ultimate DIY cold plunge - for less than $2,500 all-in.
This plan has absolutely everything you need to build a cold plunge from a Rubbermaid 100 or 150 gallon stock tank from start to finish. I've taken out all of the guesswork for you, simply follow along with each step to build the cold plunge you see pictured here - there are diagrams, videos and images for each phase of the project.
Both plans include a plumbing assembly to bypass a chiller if you 1) aren't ready to purchase one just yet or 2) need to pull your chiller in the colder months.

Went with the 150 Gallon plunge. I had no experience building anything before and I got through it. Joe was really helpful when I made a mistake or couldn’t figure something out he was there to troubleshoot. Not saying this was easy but it was worth it. I love this thing. Friends and fam can’t believe I put this together.
Joe obviously put in a lot of effort to create these plans. The level of detail is very helpful. He responds quickly to questions and his replies show that he has a lot of experience doing this. The project took me way longer than expected. Building something with so few right angles is time consuming (reminded me of building out my van), but I am very happy with the final product and the plans. This thing is very well insulated and all the parts I purchased from DIY Cold Plunge are functioning well. I installed the inline heater to continue plunging through the winter. I also modified a deck box with vents to protect the chiller. If I were to start over, I think I'd go with Joe's stock tank framing plans to reduce the number of cuts, work with square corners, and protect the chiller/heater since I have the room.
Awesome product! Straightforward plans, easy to follow, no BS. Will update when I actually build it.
This plan will save you a lot of stress. Simple, well explained cuts and instructionsto get you throughthe whole build.I'mso stoked to finish up myprojectand soak right away. Joe is amazing! Personalizing my order and even responding to silly questions I had among my way.
I got the stock tank plans as well as the plumbing plans . So helpful It took all the guesswork out of building my first cold plunge. I did modify the plans to fit the stock tank I had available. It turned out great. I also bought the plumbing parts package it was well worth it. It has all the hard to find pieces.

OnceI figured out the venturi tube operated best when it was at or above the water level, this generator worked fantastic. Cleared up slightly 100gal of cloudy water within 6-7 days of using 1-2 hrs/day and has kept it clean for following 2weeks and still going. The tubing doesn't seem like it will last long term but not going to gripe too much about that.
Totally worth it! It was cheaper than the replacement pump Plunge wanted to sell me, and with the installation video, the process was pretty straightforward. I knew absolutely nothing about cold plunges and panicked when my pump died, but this kit made the replacement much easier than I expected.
The Danner 1200 feels like a quality piece of equipment. After doing some research, I found out Danner has been around for nearly 90 years, which gave me a lot more confidence in the product. The pump is solid, well-built, and noticeably heavier than the alternatives I looked at.
If your Gen 1 Plunge pump dies, I’d definitely recommend this kit. It includes just about everything you need and takes a lot of the guesswork out of the repair. So far, I’m very happy with it.
Absolutely amazing plans easy step by step instructions…materisl sheet as well as a cut sheet made it super easy…
Didn’t realize that this was a build your own project no supplies are provided. Only instructions. Can’t even get my money back. Should just put that in bowl before purchasing. Enjoy my $20. Enjoy your lunch.
