DIY Cold Plunge

Joe knocked it out of the park with this one. These heaters are going for like $1500-2000 for other brands, and aesthetically, they're not even close, this thing is state of the art looking. It's also built like a brick outhouse.

Super easy to set up. For the price, you quite literally couldn't beat it unless you made it yourself. You'd be off your rocker to go with any other heater besides this one if you are doing this DIY build. Wifi feature is a nice add, cord is super heavy duty and I'd say is 15ft long, so plenty length. The unit can handle 375w bulbs, but the 4-250watt ruby lux in my XL is plennnnnty hot, 190 in an hour, 210 in 2 hours, thats with it being tested with the commercial graded taylor thermometer about head high in the sauna.

Set was extremely easy. I mean, red light therapy parlayed with heat that hits 200 degrees and plugs into a 110v, and looks beautiful, what more could you ask for in a Sauna Heater?

I followed the instructions, watched the extremely helpful videos and I am super impressed with the end result. It is evident that Joe put an incredible amount of work into creating the instructions. Everything was thoroughly thought out to the last detail and I am extremely happy with the end result. I fully agree the cold plunge Joe created rivals other cold plunges double even triple the value.

I originally purchased one from Amzn when first building my plunge BUT I cheaped out on the venturi injector. Lo and behold, I had plumbing issues where I even used the supposed one-way valve but found water backflowing to the Ozone generator...... reviewed a video Joe had posted re: this type of issue and decided to do it the right way and order the appropriate material. He shipped it out quickly and the price was better than anywhere else (plus, he has instructional videos which are a godsend!).

He even threw in a new floaty duck that my kids love. Right on, thanks Joe.

First time doing a wood project and using many of the tools needed. I had a lot of questions throughout the course of the build. Joe answered all of them within 24 hours, most within a few hours.

If you are looking for a Sauna that gets over 200 in a timely fashion, provide red light, all under 2k, this is it. I also want to note, I built the XL, and Joe advertised roughly 170 degrees in an hour. Mine is getting to about 190-195 in that time. And thats with 4x250 watt rubylux bulbs. So its overdelivering on temp, which is awesome.

This has been quite the experience for me. I don’t come from a background of tools and building experience so with borrowed tools, many hours across several days and weekends I little by little pieced this together. Because I was learning a lot of this as I went my build has several little flaws but that’s what makes it mine and memorable.

Kit was well thought out and easy to put together… I love the smart plug it comes with allows me to heat the sauna up on my way home from work

I'd been looking to get a sauna for quite some time, but space and cost were a concern. When I saw these plans I knew I had to try building one myself. It took me a few weekends to put together (I'm no expert craftsman) but just finished up today and very pleased with the results/look. I also purchased the DIY heater kit which was very simple to assemble. Even with purchasing some additional tools, this build only cost a fraction of what I was gonna spend on similar saunas online. Glad I went this route.

Originally I didn’t plan on purchasing this stock tank design as I am a very handy and capable individual when it comes to building most things. That being said I am very glad that I did as it saved me a bunch of time. Joe has created a very detailed and high quality set of plans which covers everything from a supply list with direct links, plumbing/filtration setup to videos of each step. These plans can also allow for customization of the exterior finishing to suit each individuals preferences or skill set. For anyone looking to build a diy cold plunge I highly recommend this stock tank plan.
