I got the plans and plumbing package for the modular stock tank plunge tub and it was fantastic. Everything was easy to put together (minus the normal amount of user error) and Joe responded quickly to the couple emails I had to send, as well as helping me track down a couple parts I needed after I broke something. The tub is a great addition to our sauna routine and looks fantastic in the garden.
I'm not handy AT ALL and was able to follow Joe's plan. I had to made some changes on the dimensions, which made it a little more challenging because I had to adjust everything, but overall it was a pretty pleasant experience. The videos are super helpful and Joe was accessible if I needed him. I still have to sand some spots and paint, but overall I'm happy with the finished product.
I have a gen 1 Cold Plunge and have been through 3 pumps under warranty and was looking at a 4th. Plunge has different priorities these days besides warranty service on old sales, and so I went to Joe and easily retrofitted to a Danner 950 instead of messing with the DC options. I purchased the pump and the fittings for the chiller and the Danner - all easily available on the site. All I did was install the fittings, cut and glued into the original plumbing to make the Danner compatible, filled the tub, plugged the Danner into a GFCI outlet and I’m good to go
I’m a 100% noob when it comes to working with power tools…. And even I built this with just a few weekends of free time. Trust me, if I can do it- then YOU can do it. Joe lays every step out on paper AND video, so you can’t hardly mess it up. I brought my iPad out to the garage and just watched 2-5 min sections of the video, focusing on one step at a time. Most of my cuts were far from perfect, and my XL sauna still turned out great. I bought the heater kit too, and same deal- the step-by-step instructions make it dummy-proof. Highly recommend.
So far I’m really happy with my new sauna. It took a little longer to build than I expected but it came out pretty nice.
With the plans and guidance from Joe everything came together. I made some modifications to the entrance and love the final project. I’m 6’2 and 225 the XL is a a great size and I can do a far amount of stretching. The heating is very accurate from what Joe posts.
Great product, make sure you follow the instructions. Joe is very helpful and communicates well.
The plans were easy to follow, along with the video. Cut list was accurate. Saving me thousands! Worth it!
One thing I would recommend to all is follow rhe plan in the order Joe created the video etc. it will save you time. I was impatient and wanted to use it asap. So I put doors on without trim, and paint. Just be patient and do all the steps in order. They’re in the order for a reason.
I recently finished my sauna build and needless to say I am so happy with the finished product! This was my first DIY build of any kind so I was a bit intimidated going in, but the plans and videos were extremely easy to follow, and Joe was always responsive via email with any questions I had.
Overall it took me three weekends to build an XL sauna with a window and that is as a novice builder with only some minor hiccups here and there
Great plans very easy to follow. If you’re into sauna, I highly recommend it.
